Tests of Connectors

BOT_SLO:

This is a test of ALINEs using sloping bottom.

C_PROP:

This is a test of using a control assembly.

CF_TOT:

This is a test of the CF_TOTAL post-processing command.

CLUMP:

This is a test of ALINEs with clumps.

CMPLIN:

This is a simple test of a compression only connector.

CONTROL:

This is a test of ALINEs with controls.

D_LIFT:

This is a time domain analysis of lifting by changing the length of the lifting line.

DAMPING:

This is a test of using -DAMPING on a GSPR.

FRICTION:

This test checks the addition of friction to a GSPR connector.

GEO:

This test checks the GEOMETRY command of the connector design menu.

GSPR_HOR:

This test checks using py tables for GSPR connectors.

GSPR_SYM:

This test checks using the -SYMMETRIC option for GSPR connectors.

HCAT:

This is a test of hanging catenaries.

JOHN:

This is a test of lifting a spring buoy out of the water.

LD:

This is a test of the -L_DELTA option of the &CONNECTOR command.

LIFT:

This is a relatively complicated test. Here, a static simulation of a structure being lifted off of a barge with two hooks is considered. A stress analysis of both bodies is also performed.

LMU :

This tests the LMU connector.

MLISTR:

This is a test of a user generated process with a resulting stress analysis.

MLSTR2:

This test shows how a user generated process can be used to simulate and perform a stress analysis on two connected bodies.

MULT_PEN:

This tests using multiple spring buoys.

MV_TEST:

This test checks the MOVE command.

NAVY:

This is a test of seven bodies connected with pins and mooring lines.

OVER:

This is a test of the FOUNDATION connector.

PEND_CAT:

This is a test of using a pendant line on a catenary line.

PEND_ROD:

This is a test of using a pendant line on a rod element.

PROP:

This test checks the force computation of a #PROP load attribute.

PUL_CAT:

This test checks the operation of pulley connectors using catenary segments.

PUL_REPO:

This test checks repositioning with pulleys composed of taught lines.

PULLEY:

This test checks the general operation of the PULLEY connector with taught lines.

REPO:

This test checks the -LINES option of the &INSTATE command. In other words, it tests the ability to reposition a vessel by changing the lengths of the mooring lines.

RIGEQU:

This is a test of computing equilibrium of two bodies using &EQUI -NEWTON.

SENSOR:

This test checks different types of sensors.

SL1:

This test checks a sling assembly with a single sling element.

SLIDSN:

This test checks the SLING_DESIGN command.

SLOPE:

This test checks B_CATs with sloping bottom.

SPRING:

This test checks the GSPR type of connector.

TUG:

This is a test of using tug connectors and the Reposition Menu to reposition a vessel.

WINCH:

This is a time domain analysis of lowering using a "WINCH".
