Jacket/Deck Installation Tests

DEBBIE:

This is a transportation of a small jacket on a rigid barge. The structural solution is performed in the frequency domain and spectral code checking is performed.

HBL:

This is a launch of a jacket off of an articulated launch barge. In other words, the launch barge is actually two barges pinned together.

JT_FREQ:

This sample is of a jacket being transported on a barge in the frequency domain. This test is relatively complete as regards reports, and considers the effect of the barge flexibility on the stresses in the jacket. The structural post-processing is performed spectrally, and fatigue is considered.

JT_GAP:

This sample uses the same data as JT_FREQ, but here, the connection between the jacket and the barge is considered to be a "gap" connection. To properly consider this nonlinearity, the loads are considered to be time domain snapshots.

JT_NON:

This sample is similar to JT_FREQ, except that no fatigue analysis is performed, and two passes are made through the STRUCT menu. The first pass creates the deadload case without tiedowns. After the tiedowns are added, the deadload case is combined with the spectral cases.

LAUN2:

This is a launch simulation of a jacket launched off of two barges rigidly pinned together.

TOW_DECK:

This is another example of the use of the automatic installation macro system supplied in the tools directory to analyze the transportation of a deck.

LRFD:

This is an example of the use of the automatic installation macro system supplied in the tools directory to analyze the transportation of a deck. Here, we are doing an lrfd code check.

ISO:

This is an example of the use of the automatic installation macro system supplied in the tools directory to analyze the transportation of a deck. Here, we are doing an ISO lrfd code check.

NORSOK:

This is an example of the use of the automatic installation macro system supplied in the tools directory to analyze the transportation of a deck. Here, we are doing an NORSOK lrfd code check.

MAN_LAUN:

This is an example of a jacket launch off of a barge. Two stress analyses of the launch are performed a simple one which uses an approximate method of applying the launchway reactions onto the barge, and one which uses gap elements at the hard points to account for the interaction of the jacket with a rigid barge.

MP_TOW:

This is an of an transportation with multiple drafts and trims.

MAURIE:

This is a stress analysis of a real jacket for dead load only.

P_LIFT:

This is another example of the use of the automatic installation macro system supplied in the tools directory to analyze the transportation of a deck. Here we are lifting a deck.

TIM_TOW:

This test uses the installation macros to perform a time synthesis tow analysis.

UPDOWN:

This is a simple test of the static process (upending) commands.
